The Waterloo Regional Labour Council needs to appoint a representative to the Region of Waterloo's Employment and Income Support Community Advisory Committee (EISCAC).
The EISCAC meets every other month (usually on Friday mornings) to provide advice to Regional staff and Council on employment and income support programs like Ontario Works and employment centres.
You can read the full description of the EISCAC's mandate in its Terms of Reference.
If you are interested in being the Labour Council's representative to EISCAC, please submit an expression of interest to Labour Council President Marc Xuereb by 4:30pm on Friday, November 15, 2013. The representative must be a member of a union affiliated to the Waterloo Regional Labour Council. In your expression of interest, please describe:
- your interest, and/or experience in dealing with the Region's income and employment support programs;
- Labour's interest in shaping the delivery of these programs and in understanding issues with their delivery;
- how you will provide reports to the Labour Council's membership on the meetings.
If you have any further questions, feel free to contact Labour Council President Marc Xuereb.
